Lumineers® are a brand of ultra-thin porcelain veneer, made from a patented ceramic that stays strong at a fraction of conventional veneer thickness. Because they're so thin, Lumineers can often be bonded directly over your natural teeth with minimal or no enamel removal — which for many patients means no shots and no drilling.

Are Lumineers reversible?
In many minimal-prep cases, yes — because little or no enamel is removed, they can potentially be removed later. Reversibility depends on your specific preparation, and we'll be clear about it before treatment.
How are Lumineers different from regular veneers?
Thickness and preparation. Lumineers are ultra-thin and usually need little or no drilling; conventional veneers are thicker and involve reshaping the tooth surface, which gives the ceramist more room to correct color and contour.
